Konfirmasjonskort (cards for confirmation)

It's confirmation season and this week I got an order for some cards for some boys. That gave me the opportunity to play a little with my scrapbooking stash and helped the creativity blossom due to the restrictions (no flowers for the boys + they wanted 2 text stamps).

Materials:
Paper: Bazzill Kraft, Heidi Swapp Invisibles, bølgepapp/corrugated cardstock
Stamps: Stempelglede and NorthStar Stamps
Ink: Distress Ink Chipped Saphire and Close to My Heart Outdoor Denim
Various: Lace, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Peach Delight, Autumn Nights and Arctic Blue, staples, Tattered Angels framed fonts frames, Marvy Uchida Oval punch

The Invisibles paper was sprayed with glimmer mist and whiped smooth afterwards to get an even coat/colouring
The CR84FN challenge blog has this week a colour challenge of using pale yellow, kraft and gold, CR84FN26. This time I actually managed to do something with the insipration the challenge gave me, and what suited better then a couple of confirmation cards or sort of wallet cards.
Materials:
Paper: Bazzill Kraft, S.E.I Windsor
Stamp: North Star Stamps
Ink: Archival
Embellishments: Ribbon, French scroll border punch by Martha Stewart

Thanks for looking :D

New projects - April

It's been a while since I last updated the blog with some creative projects, so it's about time to show some again I think.

Here's a card fit for a friend, in lovely orange and grey.

A couple of simple cards with butterflies for birthdays or confirmation.
 Another orange card.

A relatively simple card for confirmation (it includes a pocket for a tag and some money).
This lay out was made at Papirfest (that I attended 2 weeks ago), it was made for a competition that I was so fortunate to win :D

I've recently made no less than 7 Easter eggs and here are 2 of them, decorated with Glimmer Mist, Glimmer Glam, Prima flowers, roses from Kort og Godt, lace and butterflies made with a Martha Stewart punch. By the way, these two were made for the Sukkersøtt challenge this week.

A relatively clean and simple birthday card, made for the "That's so cute challenge" for birthdays.

Hula for deg!

I had these cards lying around half-finnished for quite some time before I had an epiphany to write "Hula for you" (In Norway the "happy birthday song" starts with "Hurray for you"...).

Hula for meg, for har nå ferie og fylte år sist torsdag :D
Ha en nydelig dag alle sammen.

(Cards with Unity Stamps)

Today I got the first kit from Unity Stamps, and I just had to make a couple of cards, the stamps were just so incredible. Man do I love those stamps, and man do I look forward to May Lis getting the stamps from Unity - that day I will spend a small fortune on stamps, seriously. Just look at these cuties, the mushroom, the bambi and the tree. Me likes lots....

(More DoM cards)

I've finally done the 19-21 cards of the Deck of me
#19 is about surprises - I'm not too into bad ones, only the good ones. Might be because I'm a bit of a control freak. (I realised after it was done that I messed up the title on the back, it should have been "Surprise, surprise, SURPRISE" - ah well)

#20 was supposed to be about how you handle changes - I'm not excellent on changes, not even very fond of rearranging furniture... But unless I'm willing to change I won't improve or grow, and I definately don't want to stagnate.
#21's supposed to be about my redeeming qualities - actually this wasn't very hard to do (modesty... not in sight). So far I've found I'm:
- generous
- take responsibility (and stick to it)
- handy & helpful
- there for my friends
- Snill (Norwegian word that means something like kind, kindhearted and nice)
Thanks for looking.

(Deck of me - 12, 13 and 14)

Ive finally got around to creating the cards from the last 3 weeks. Here are the images, the first one is number 12, with the prompt: " I believe". I'm no religious person (atheist to the core), but there are of course other things one can believe (in) and I believe Optimism is a necessity for happiness, ever the optimist. On the back I've included a couple other things I believe:
- music can be a remedy for healing
- it's going to be all right
- and I believe in me.

The prompt for #13 were "on my mind", and currently travel is on my mind, in just 11 days I'm going to Tallinn, Estonia with my mum, my best friend and her mum - one week in a SPA hotell in old town... This years summe vacation has been carefully planned, as well as the autumn holiday when I take my niece to Paris for a week. So you can probably see why tarvel is occupying some space in my mind. And the back of the card reflects that the words started a soundtrack in my head - Pet Shop Boys "You were always on my mind" :)

The 14th card of the deck were to deal with birds, now I've never been neighter fond of birds nor disliked them particularly. But hey, there's some birdshaped rub-ons in my collection from Basic Grey - this was a chance to use them.

Thanks for looking :)

(Deck of Me - #7 to #10)

I've finally cought up with the cards for the deck of me.
Here's number 7, I miss... I miss the way I used to be - optimistic (almost to a fault) and always cheerful. I'm on my way "back" and hope it's not too long until I'm there again.

#8 My shoestory - is about the shoes I bought for my sisters wedding -
they were so beautiful in the shop I just had to get them. Tried standing in them and they were great, too bad I didn't try walking in them... and that I didn't wear them until the wedding. They were murder to wear for more than 10 minutes. And walking? Forget about it.

# 9 Inspired Now - I'm so inspired by my friend Hanna - she's such a great scrapper and a wonderful person.

# 10 Note to self - it's a small reminder to myself to include my 14 year-old niece in the planning of our Autumn holiday to Paris this year.
I love planning and arranging things and so I have to make sure I won't be dragging her along to things she won't like
(but we'll just have to visit at least one art museum).

Thanks for looking at my cards!

(Deck of me 4, 5 and 6)

I've finally scanned the cards I've recently made for the deck of me challenge from Emily Falconbridge. Here are my cards for week 4, 5 and 6, and I've shown both the front and back sides, as I've included a little more info or decoration on them.
Week 4, a symbol that I like: The Venus or copper symbol - I really like it because to me it stands for women power and equality.
Week 5, ephemera: I've used a cinema ticket - I love going to the movies, so why I don't go more often... I don't know.
Week 6, Love: This was a tough one - since I don't have "a significant other" in my life, so my card is about that my heart is filled with love for my family, nephew and nieces, friends and art but there is a void, waiting for a certain someone I hope will come along some day. Not sure if I believe
in Love, but I hope in love.
