Sometimes, when the patterned papers are just too beautiful, it's easy to make beautiful cards. This is one of those, Graphic 45 is a paper company that makes simply beautiful papers and so I took the cue from one of their lines.

This summer my mum and dad moved house, they had a lot of help from some really nice people, so to thank them for all their help: My dad want to invite them to a get-together. And he wanted me to make the invitations. Since I foolishly left my invitation stamps, and alphabet stamps, at home they will have to make do with out a sentiment on the front.

I'm back after having been a short trip to Trøndelag, had a good time there (nice to see my grandparents again, though they've gotten quite a bit old). So since I was away I've had to catch up for Monday and Tuesday in addition to showing you the card of today.
Card 35:

This is one of my favourite cards so far, it's just so simple yet so løvely.

Card 37

Simple card again, this time I used a corner of a Prima Paintables sheet of paper and painted using some VersaColor inc on an acryllic block. The red flower does not completely match the ink, but "I nøden spiser Fanden fluer" i.e. if you don't have what you need, use what you have.

This is card number 34, it might look a bit weird... but I was just so inspired by some of the cards Xstine usually makes, folded and all. Aaaaand I got to use some more of my beloved Sassafrass papers.

The next few days I'm going away (to see my maternal grandparents) so I just might not make it to post a card each day. Most likely I'll update the blogg with a handful of cards when I'm back.

Soooo I've finally updated the blog again with a few cards, sorry for not updating whilst I was travelling and preparign to travel. At least now I've made 3 cards to "catch up", all of them were made with the contents of the July Bad Girls kit (the swirlies were not in the kit).

I forbindelse med at jeg fyller året sånn ca. nå, inviterte jeg de triveligste, kuleste og beste scrappevenninnene noen kan ha på scrappeparty med kaker på lørdag. Kakene jeg bakte var red velvet cupcakes og de var særdeles gode... Og siden jeg er på vei på ferie håper jeg dere tilgir meg om jeg legger ut et bilde av kakene og oppskriften (bildet er tatt av den eminente Xstine). Oppskriften følger under bildet.

Red velvet cupcakes (12 stykker)

2.5 dl hvetemel
0.84 dl kakao (1/3 kopp)
½ ts salt
1.67 dl planteolje (gjerne en med lite smak som solsikkeolje)
1,875 dl sukker
1 egg
2 ts rød matfarge (gjerne fra Cacas)
½ ts vanilje (helst vaniljeekstrakt*)
1.25 dl Vikingmelk
½ ts bakepulver
¾ ts hvit eddik

Varm ovnen til 175 grader. Putt papirmuffinsformer i en 12-muffinsform (i metall) og spray de med bakefett.

Bland mel, kakao og salt i en bolle. Putt olje og sukker i bollen til en elektrisk kjøkkenmasking og pisk ved medium hastighet til det er godt blandet. Pisk inn egget (lager du en større porsjon, pisk inn ett egg om gangen). Ved svært lav hastighet pisker du inn den røde matfargen (det kan sprute…)

Hell i vaniljen. Bland i halvparten av melmiksen, så halvparten av vikingmelka, repeter. Pisk hele røra til den er jevn og alt melet er blandet inn.

Hell bakepulveret i ei lita skål, rør inn eddiken og bland det inn i røra. Pisk i 10 sekunder.

Fordel røra mellom de 12 formene, fyll hver av de ca 2/3 full.

Stekes i 25-30 minutter, til det ikke sitter igjen røre på en kakepinne.

*Hvis du ikke har vaniljeekstrakt, kan du heller bruke 2 teskjeer vaniljesukker.

Fyll:
200 gr kremost (romtemperert)
2 ss usaltet smør
1 ss vegetabilsk fett (delfia)**
½ ts vaniljeekstrakt
2.5 dl melis


Rør smør og melis hvitt i en bolle. Bland inn vanilje, så 1/3 del av kremosten. Bland inn det vegetabilske fettet og så resten av osten (i 2 omganger). Alt blandes og piskes godt.

Hvis man ønsker å farge fyllet/toppingen kan man blande inn et par dråper konditorfarge med den siste delen av osten.

** Det er ikke noe problem å erstatte det vegetabilske fettet med smør, da pisker man alt smøret og melisen hvitt. Det er heller ikke nødvendig å bruke usaltet smør, men man bør bruke meierismør (da smaker det best ;)

Sorry for not posting a card yesterday, I celebrated my birthday yesterday with the best girls in the world (Anny, Hanna, Xstine, Mari and Kirsten - løøøve you gals). So today I'm showing the cards for yesterday and today. Since I made cupcakes yesterday I just had to make a card with a cupcake :) and the papers are some of the new from Rose Moka, they are løøøvely. Oh and they are spinner cards.
